Do you have a Thought Partner?

Many facilitators are also solopreneurs, which means that when it comes to creating workshops they are working on their own. But, it would be nice to have someone to bounce ideas off or to co-create with. We may ask a friend for thoughts and comments (or post on here), but we don't go into depth due to time constraints. A friend of mine had this problem for a Creative Workshop she was going to run and reached out to me. After some discussion we came to the realization that what she was looking for was a Thought Partner. Take a look at the video we made about this, and then add your comments or thoughts below. Design Sprint -- Internship Students

A group of students with aspirations to join the company I work for in the IT problem-solving approaches. I got an opportunity to view their final design processes for various problems they came up with during their 12-week internship program. In their presentations, it was interesting to hear that many of them mentioned the "design sprint". In so many of the YouTube videos that I watched from Jonathan, he kept mentioning this term. It wasn't a term that I had come to use in the past with my workspaces. I'm so glad to see that they were incorporating this practice in their internship practice. In the 70s and 80s, it was called something completely different; and when they get to my age, it will be renamed a thousand times over to a newer and jazzier name! No matter what you call it, it is all the the same with a fresh new look. :D

Facilitating change in education

Hi everyone! Are there any other education/pedagogy specialists here? I'm working with a team of educators and an amazing school in the US to redefine their pedagogy and approach to teaching that reflects the needs of today's students. I am looking to take my work to other schools and perhaps expand our team of experts. I look forward to hearing from you.

Anyone like some free Executive Coaching?

I’m currently training to be an executive coach as I believe it will give me a complementary set of skills for the work I do as a facilitator. As part of my training I need to log a certain number of practice hours and so I’m looking for people who might be willing to try being coached…for free! A few details for anyone who might be interested: I am still in training, and won’t qualify officially for a few more months, but I am being taught by a very reputable coaching institution The offer is for 2 or 3 hour long coaching sessions, conducted virtually, where we can discuss and explore any career goals you have and what steps you might need to take to achieve them It doesn’t have to be about your facilitation career, but given this forum I’m expecting that’s what you might want to discuss There is absolutely no charge If you’re interested, please like this post and I’ll message you to set up some time to discuss things in a bit more detail, Thank you!
